Frame
Reduced to its essence, Moebe’s Frame is a minimal way to display artwork on the walls. The design features two sheets of acrylic glass surrounded by four natural oak or aluminum supports to allow artwork to be floated within. Slip a photo, print, or flat memento between the glass and add the four supports. The assemblage is then held together with a sturdy rubber strap which serves as the mechanism that connects all 4 pieces of the frame. This clever piece of rubber also doubles as the hanger that allows the frame to be hung on a wall. When choosing not hang Frame, the unique design hides the rubber strap when simply leaned against a wall.
The frames come completely assembled but are easily unassembled by the removal of the rubber strap. Frame is available in three dimensions to hold a variety sized artwork. Because it is clear on both sides, no matting is necessary. Frame represents the Scandinavian design studio’s ethos of keeping things simple to create intuitive and honest products.
